It's time for me to tell you my ulterior motive.  I want to sell you business credit.  Yes I am driven by the profit motive; I want you to buy from me.  It gets worse, because I believe if you are in business you can't do without what I am selling, business credit. 

So not only do I want you to buy from me, I truly believe you need business credit.  That means I'm on a mission to sell you business credit.  I'm worse than the Terminator, I won't stop, I won't give up, I won't give in and worse of all, I won't SHUT UP!!

So to make life easier for you guys who have to listen to my ranting about business credit, I've created an acronym to shorten the verbal assaults I will put you through.

The acronym is P.I.L.O.T. These are the 5 steps you need to take to separate your personal from your business credit.

Why do you need to separate your business from your personal credit?

There are plenty of reasons, so reason number 23 is, personal credit has a limit, and business credit has no limit!!

So here is my acronym.  I hope you like it. Check your concept of business credit against mine. 

Prepare your business for credit by registering the business as a corporation or Limited Liability Company; set up a business bank account and business phone

Identify products and services your business needs that you can buy using trade credit

Let's build a business finance and marketing plan before you ask for your business credit rating

Object to co-signing for business credit using your personal credit and social security number

Tighten up your business credit rating by submitting this information to the business credit reporting agencies.

So there are the 5 steps I will badger you about until you have used PILOT to navigate your business to economic success.

SUCCESSFUL LAUNCH OF THE PILOT CONFERENCE CALL

December 13, 2007, was the launch of the PILOT Conference Call.  It was a real hit with those who attended.  I got some great feedback.  Janice Gentles-Jones is a veritable encyclopedia of internet technology knowledge.  Mrs. Jones wowed us with her insights.  Then she did an outstanding job of describing the steps to take to become a member of the BBB website and help build a community.  She even recorded the call and she will post it on the BBB website for all to hear.
