Having high PR is not going to put you on search engine result pages. Having SEO'd pages is. High PR means Googles thinks your links from and too your site are relevant. Having high PR means when you ask someone to share links, especially someone with lots o f traffic, SEO'd pages, someone that has taken the time to make sure their site performs well, you get a much higher percentage of people say yes.
